About Engineered Flooring

We offer many types of engineered flooring at Timber Living Company, and these floors combine the beauty of real wood with added durability. Engineered wood floor has a real wood top layer with several support layers underneath, which makes it stronger and more stable than solid wood floors. Our engineered oak flooring comes in many finishes, such as black grain oiled, brushed grey limed, matt lacquered, standard oiled, smoked heavy brushed, ice white limed and smoked UV oiled. We have different wood species, including oak, walnut and smoked lacquered options, and our engineered timber flooring ranges from 14 mm to 20 mm thick with widths that range from 120 mm to 800 mm.

The structure of engineered wood floors makes them work well where solid wood flooring might encounter problems. We find that engineered flooring works well in areas that have moisture concerns, such as kitchens and basements. The layered design of engineered timber flooring lets it expand and contract naturally without causing any damage. Installing our engineered flooring is easy because it has a tongue and groove system that helps the pieces fit together perfectly. This makes it ideal for both professional installers and DIY projects, as fitting it yourself can save money. Keeping engineered floors clean is simple, too; you simply need to vacuum or sweep them regularly and occasionally use a slightly damp mop. Another good thing about engineered oak flooring is just how long it lasts. If the surface shows wear, thicker veneer options can be sanded and refinished several times to make them look new again.

Our engineered timber floors cost less than many solid hardwood options, especially premium types such as maple. Though it might cost a little more upfront than some of the common hardwoods, the easier installation and lower maintenance often make it better value over time. The engineered flooring styles we stock range from light modern looks to rich, traditional dark finishes. These flooring options work well in homes, including living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens and in business spaces such as offices and restaurants.

With real wood finish, structural strength, moisture resistance and many different design options, our engineered wood flooring is a practical and attractive choice for almost any flooring project.
